Set of Chairs

Photos below show images from set of six chairs built from Black Walnut and six beautiful and exotic hardwoods from around the world.  Each chair features one of these woods in the backrest and back supports.

Note the tapered legs: they are also rounded on all four sides making them look softer and inviting touch.

The photo below shows the six chairs prior to finishing.  The hints of great things to come are everywhere; the finish will make the rainbow of colors POP! The rear leg assemblies prior to Final Glue-up.  From left to right: Bocote Rosewood, Granadillo, Thuya Burl, Pao Ferro Rosewood, Cocobolo Rosewood, and Gabon Ebony.

The straight backs and level seats bring a sense of formality while the fabric upholstered cushion reminds the sitter that comfort is an important attribute. The fabric matches nearby curtain valences.
